Message from the Executive Director

Dear NABIE Members:

The year 2020 Is nothing like we expected.  At this point in the year, all of us thought that we would soon be meeting in Barcelona for NABIE 2021.  While our plans for Barcelona have been delayed by a year, NABIE leadership has re-imagined our 2021 conference to keep our members safe, while still provided the superior education and interaction that members desire.

This year, our conference will actually take place in two parts:  The first scheduled for February 26th & 27th online.  Our second offering will be the introduction of our NABIE Summer Institute in an online format, which we anticipate will be a permanent fixture to NABIE’s slate of educational offerings.  By approaching education in this manner, we can assure that you will be able to get the high quality education that our constituents desire.

The Board and I are keenly aware that the true value of NABIE is not only the superior education, but also the camaraderie and the opportunity to interact with your colleagues.  As such, we have invested in a state-of-the-art virtual platform for our conference that will allow the ability to interact face-to-face with your peers in a virtual environment.

While some organizations offer free webinars or “meetings” via Zoom for no cost, those offerings offer little opportunity for quality, real time interaction, which we have heard over and over again, is a key reason that motivates our members to attend NABIE.  Our minimal fee of $299 for the 2021 conference covers not only the use of the platform, but also the costs associated with being accredited for PDH hours in all 50 states.
