OSHA has made changes to certifications requirements for roof descent systems. These changes were approved in January of 2017 and owners have until November of 2017 to meet these requirements. The requirements require that safe anchor points for roof descent systems be provided by the building owner. These anchor points must be tested and certified in writing every 10 years and a visual inspection must be completed every year by an engineer with an independent consulting firm.
